Mamy is a customer of Hekima and the leader of the "Ushindi" solidarity group. She is married, 35 years old, and the mother of 3 children who all attend school. Her partner is unemployed.
She sells second-hand shoes, a business she started in 2010 with startup funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima's loan program to get support for her business which is steadily developing. She will use this new loan to buy used shoes. The main challenge faced by her business is a lack of customers.
She would like her children to continue their education and to be able to keep feeding her family.
Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they are giving to owners of non-bankable businesses during the global crisis caused by Covid-19.
Note: Due to covid-19 safety precautions, only the group leader is pictured.
