A loan helped a member to buy animals for resale as part of providing for the needs of his family.

Gneta Group's story

Siaka Sidy is a Malian man, aged 44. He is married and the father of six children, three of whom are in school. Siaka Sidy is a literate farmer. He has been engaged in animal husbandry for ten years with the aide of his household. In order to develop this husbandry business, he has made recourse to the RMCR fund to make it his principle source of revenue.

In the photo, he is the man with the bull. He stocks up in his village as well as the environs, and he resells on the local market. After the sale, he can gain 45,000 FCFA at least as a profit each cycle. The profit received from the sale of animals permits him to support the education, health, food, and clothing of his children.

Siaka Sidy hopes to obtain more funds in order to better teach his children the husbandry business, including veterinary services.
