A loan helped to give me relief to keep my business operating, affected by COVID19.

Isabel's story

I was born in Mexico near a town called Mexicali, and lived and worked there until the age of 24. My school offered only a few grades so if I kept there I couldn't continue learning. I had no chances of getting a good job or following my school which made me emigrate.
I have approximately 17 years with this business. I love that it is a business that constantly changes.  I had no idea how to start it but I was insistent, there were obstacles, from which I have learned. I learned a great deal about this kind of business, including the best strategies for success.
The opportunity that this country gives me to develop my creativity and see what it produces is very gratifying. With this new Kiva loan, I want to improve my operation and create more resources for my clients, which include, marketing, a new brand, and a better services. This support would be to be able to continue standing and to continue my ascent before the pandemic.

This loan is special because:

It helps a repeat Kiva borrower overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis.
