A loan helped to buy dried vegetables and to save to look after her children.

Mamounata's story

Mamounata is a mother of four children, three of whom go to school. She is a saleswoman and has been selling vegetables in a suburban market of the capital for six years.

She is on her first loan cycle with YIKRI and is requesting a loan to buy dried vegetables/seasonings to satisfy her customers' needs.

She plans to use the profits to reinvest in her work and save to look after her children. She thanks Kiva lenders and asks everyone to protect themselves from the COVID-19 virus.

Translated from French by Kiva volunteer Gina Parsons.

This loan is special because:

It helps borrowers access financial services on flexible terms with no collateral requirements.
