A loan helped a member to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Ls 2 Group's story

Simon is a 33-year-old man who lives in a two bedroom house with six other family members, including one dependent. They do not have access to electricity.

Simon works as a teacher, but struggles with charcoal energy expenses. He spends a total of UGX 47,000 on all of his fuels.

Simon and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cook-stove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel, and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered.
