Robinah's story

Robinah is a widow with five children and her children go to school. She owns a four roomed house where she stays with eight people. The family has access to electricity and piped water. Robinah takes care of additional family members. The family gets three meals a day. Her monthly expenses include school fees, feeding the family and medication. Robinah owns a stall where she sells sweet and Irish potatoes and works in Nakawa Market and receives at least 25 customers a day and her customers are mainly from other markets. Besides this food business, she also does some tailoring work when need arises. Robinah has been in this business for 20 years and her business challenges include seasonality and transportation. Robinah has been with MCDT for five years, servicing her 13th loan. She wants to use this loan to buy more bags of sweet and Irish potatoes. She is aspiringof seeing her business grow bigger and own a delivery van Robinah decided to work with MCDT because she wanted laons but her no colateral security
