A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making business.

Loleini's story

This is Loleini. She is 47 years old, married to a farmer and has ten children. They live in their own home with only the remaining six, while the four eldest are already married and have their own families.

Loleini runs a business of tapa making. For that she joins a group of women in their village and they do the tapa making only once a week. Together they make different types and sizes of tapa cloth. Loleini also decorates her own tapas and then sells them at the local market. She is hoping to use her loan money to buy mulberry for her business. Her first and foremost dream is to renovate their house and build a bigger one.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
