A loan helped to repair a pizza oven.

Celia's story

Celia is a very cheerful and hard-working 41-year old woman who lives in a rented house with her 46 year old husband Luis and their two children who are the driving force for her to continue working. Their bakery "La Estancia" is one of the best known and popular bakeries in the city of Tarma, where she prepares the delicious cakes and pies that their regulars appreciate and that make their business stand out among the others.

Celia learned to bake pastries from her parents who used to make bread and pies in their oven to sell. What she enjoys most is to decorate the cakes. She has the patience and the touch to make the beautiful decorations that typify her bakery. She has been in this business for six years, and the most difficult part is to be up all night to fill the orders that she has. However, to move forward she hopes to open a pizzería to the side of her pastry shop to help improve her income.

This is Celia's fourth loan with MFP. She has always demonstrated punctuality in her payments and hopes to do so again now. She is a responsible member of her communal bank, which makes her very dear to her partners. With the 2000 nuevo soles that she asks for, she will repair a special oven to prepare pizzas, a tool that will help her start her new business.
