A loan helped a member to buy bean seeds.

Obanga Atwero Mother Care Group's story

Agness is 45 years old and is married with three children, two of whom attend school. She grows maize while her husband supplies produce for additional income.

With a dream to expand her farming ventures, Agness is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to purchase bean seeds and add beans to her farm. Agness' husband deals in produce and has a ready market for beans; therefore, Agness thought it wise to grow the beans since she has a ready market. By growing the beans, she will be able to harvest them and sell them off. With the income from the beans she will be able to save for her children's education and also purchase other seeds in the future. Her business is challenged by pests and diseases.

Agness is grateful to Kiva for the financial support.
