A loan helped to complete payment for his new motorcycle.

Eria's story

Eria, aged 27, is married with two children, one of whom attends school.

He is a motorcyclist in Jinja town. This has been his source of income for five years. His clients are mostly people in and outside Jinja town. Eria started with a hired motorcycle, but his income was insufficient to finance all his financial obligations. He later joined a company which sells motorcycles in installments. He got his own motorcycle and has been making payments in small installments.

Eria has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 UGX to settle the balance remaining so that he can get his motorcycle card that shows full ownership. He appreciates the support that will make it possible. However, just like any other business person, Eria also faces some challenges in his business like stiff competition and the high price of gas.
