A loan helped to buy 15 bales of weaving thread and dye so she can save money to take care of her family.

Rasmata's story

Rasmata is mother to seven children, two of whom go to school, and she also has two other people to support. She is a weaver and has been making traditional "pagnes" (brightly-colored pieces of fabric popular in West Africa) at her home in the outskirts of the capital.

She is on her sixth loan cycle with IMF Yikri and repays her loans correctly. She is requesting a loan to buy 15 bales of weaving thread and dye, so she can make a large number of traditional "pagnes" to meet customer demand. She intends to use her profits to reinvest in her business and save money to take care of her family.
