A loan helped to purchase plaster, a door, tiles, etc in order to construct a toilet.

Nandini's story

Nandini is a 41-year-old woman from a small village in Jajpur district, Odisha. She is a housewife. She has a household of 4 members and a monthly household income of INR 8,500.

Nandini and her family have no toilet in their house. The entire family has to go to a secluded field to defecate. With the rising flood levels, this is not only unhygienic but also unsafe for her and her children. Nandini plans to purchase plaster, a door, tiles, etc to build a toilet. However, her family's monthly income is barely enough to meet their needs. Hence, she has applied for a loan of INR 25,000 from Gram Utthan, one of Milaap's field partners.

Nandini and her family will be thankful to their lenders for their support.
