Nancy is a 36-year-old Ugandan. She is married with four children, three of whom attend school. Together with her husband, they have been growing cassava, maize and soya for 12 years now.
She is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to buy improved cassava stems and disease-resistant seeds of maize and soya.
Nancy narrates that with her experience in farming, she believes she will have a higher yield from the improved seeds, which she will sell to acquire more land and expand her farm. Nancy also states that she is challenged by pests and diseases that affect her yields.
