A loan helped to buy fertilizers.


Adonia's story

Adonia is an old client of UGAFODE Microfinance Ltd. It’s his 15th time to acquire a loan from the bank. He lives in the town of Kyamamari, Bushenyi in the Western Region of Uganda and he has a business of pineapples and tea trading. He obtained a Kiva loan through UGAFODE of 2,000,000 (Two million shillings only).

With the loan, he started a piggery project and bought fertilizers for his tea garden and has been able to pay school fees for his children through improved incomes from his business.

Thanks to the loan, he will be able to meet his family's needs. In the near future, he hopes to expand his tea plantation and is thankful to the lenders for the support that allowed him to be successful in his business.
