Josephine is a female Ugandan aged 24 years living in Soroti and single with no children. She is a farmer who grows maize, groundnuts and also sells second hand clothes as a side income. She is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to buy pesticides to spray against pests and unwanted weeds for better yields which she will sell and get some money to attain a short course in agribusiness to help her compete in the commercial agriculture business world.
Josephine describes her self as a hardworking and honest woman. She is challenged by price fluctuations of agricultural produce however she is grateful to KIVA for the financial support.
