A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk-vending business.

Mary's story

Mary (a 48-year-old mother of 4 school-going children) is a mother with total willingness to work. She hails from the Thika area of Kenya, an area that has good rainfall patterns and is known for dairy and crop farming. Mary has lovely children, whom she adores and cherishes, and a handsome husband, who always paints a smile on her face.

She has been practicing dairy and crop farming for the past few years and is making great strides. She has been able to earn a decent and honest living through corn farming, milk, crops, and a personal business. These ventures have enabled her to feed her family. Mary has planted trees on her compound. She also has grass, which has high protein and is used to feed her dairy cows, thereby enhancing her milk-selling profit.

Because of increased demand, Mary is kindly requesting a loan to buy another good-quality dairy cow. Dairy farming is a very profitable venture and she wants to take full advantage of the ready market for dairy products. Through the loan, Mary is sure of satisfying the demand for milk in her area.

With her increased profit, Mary is sure that she will repay the loan on time and be in a position to comfortably take care of her family.

Mary's vision is to keep even more dairy cows. Kindly make the opportunity a reality for this mother!

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
