A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Kumushai's story

The 43-year-old Kumushai is married with two children. She has a secondary education and is a schoolteacher. To supplement her income, Kumushai raises livestock and grows crops, with her children's active assistance. Her farm presently consists of two cows, two horses, 20 sheep, and a 1.70-hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows clover.

In order to develop her business further, Kumushai has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS), with which she will buy dairy cows to increase her headcount and sales of organic milk. The income generated by the loan will help Kumushai expand her farm, buy a vehicle, and in the future build a house.
