Asel is 30 and married with three school-aged children. She has a high school education and is a hardworking and responsible person. She has been working in animal husbandry and agriculture since 2008 as the primary source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work and responsible approach to her tasks, she has been able to develop her farm to having two cows and 30 sheep as well as 0.62 hectares of irrigated land where she grows beans. She also has a contract to provide organic milk to a local factory for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to constantly invest in her agricultural business.
When she found out about Bai Tushum Bank's "chain of added value" product, which would allow her to take out a loan for further repayment, she approached them for a loan of 70,000 KGS to buy two dairy cows to increase her head count of livestock and her yield of organic milk. Payments from the factory are directly deposited into her bank account, and loan payments automatically debited. She plans to put income from the loan into buying livestock, and partially toward paying for her children's education.
