A loan helped to buy quality poultry birds to meet the overwhelming demand for poultry products in her village.

Jeritah's story

Meet Jeritah, a mother whose triumphs to success will inspire you. Given the fact that she had a poor childhood, Jeritah’s rise to the ranks of success in farming is a true inspiration to many farmers living in Kakamega, Kenya. She has been practicing farming for more than ten years with three children to take care of, one of whom is attending school. Through agriculture, she has made her life meaningful and she feels she is now deriving maximum pleasure from it.

The Kakamega area is very populated and the demand for poultry products and eggs is very high. Like many farmers from her region, she finds poultry farming very enjoyable. Her biggest challenge, however, is meeting the demand, which is very high.

Jeritah lacks funds to increase her poultry farming business, and she is seeking a loan of 40,000 KES to buy quality poultry birds. As a result of the loan, she will sell eggs and poultry products to her neighbors and to the local market. This will translate into an increased profit and improved income.

Kindly and humbly help this hardworking woman realize her dream!

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
