Consuelo's story

Consuelo is 49 years old and has a stable home with her family. She lives in a house that she owns, made with rustic material on just one floor. Consuelo was born in Colasay hamlet. Consuelo and her family get on with other people in the hamlet, which is in Jaen district. The family home has only running water.

Consuelo makes a living growing cacao coffee on two hectares of land. She has been doing this work in Colasay hamlet in Jaen district for ten years. She has experience growing coffee. She sells the product in Jaen district to local buyers.

This loan will be used to buy farming supplies to adequately manage crops, and to weed ahead of winter. Consuelo hopes that the price of coffee will improve next year. This investment will help Consuelo to increase her income and her and her family’s quality of life.
