A loan helped to buy good quality fodder for her livestock.

Manzooran's story

Manzooran is a 54-year-old woman, married with two children. She lives in a small village of Sheikhupura, Pakistan. A few years ago, she started her business of raising sheep in her area to sell for meat. She earns a good reward for her services.

She buys animals (baby goats and calves) at low prices, raises them, and then sells them out in the market at higher prices. She makes enough through her business to contribute to the family income. She also sells milk to generate an extra amount of income. Therefore, she is requesting a loan from JWS Pakistan to buy fodder for raising the calves and thus be able to increase her production and improve her income considerably. Manzooran is thankful to Kiva and JWS Pakistan.
