Michael's story

Michael is 28 years old. He is married and father of one child. Micky, as he is popularly called by his peers, is an achiever. He is a creative and hard working, talented young man who does not play with his work. He is a cobbler and slippers manufacturer. He manufactures slippers for both sexes and treks them through his apprentices. He has won the hearts of many through his work and commitment towards the community. He started this business as a cobbler and he was sewing torn flip-flops and polishing shoes. Now, he says, through hard work and the favor of God he manufactures Ghana-made slippers and sells them across Ghana. He has been in business for six years now, with three apprentices who are learning skills for their future dependency. His major problem has to do with funds to buy raw materials in bulk. He says that the price increase of materials, due to the dollar difference to the Ghana cedi has made business difficult. He therefore requests for the loan assistance to buy raw materials like leather, glue, nails and thread, etc. This will enable him to meet targets set by his customers. He would be grateful for your support.
