Alicia is 39 years old and lives with her husband Hiler who is 46. They have 5 children; Wilmer who is 20, Cristhian 17, Maybet 15, Braulio 12 and Kevin 9 years of age. They live in their own welcoming home which is located in the Peruvian sierra. For 22 years they have sown potatoes, honey-mesquite, corn, and beans. She has done this with the help of the children and her husband. Currently, she is a bit preoccupied because her mother has suddenly fallen ill and she fears that she may die, due to her advanced age. Nevertheless, despite the distinct difficulties that life presents, she isn't frightened and she likes her work because it is sufficiently profitable and allows her to offer an adequate quality of life for her family.
For the future, she hopes to open a store selling parts for motorcycles in Lima, the capital of Peru. Also, she wants to buy large extensions of land to sow larger quantities and obtain greater earnings. She notes that since gaining access to loans through MFP, she is improving economically, having obtained good harvests and earnings.
This is Alicia's 6th loan request from this entity. She enjoys working with her communal bank because its members are active and responsible persons. She is an enterprising woman, and she wants to invest the loan in buying honey-mesquite seeds, sacks of manure, bottles of insecticide, fungicide, and herbicide, plus sacks of fertilizer, that will guarantee good production.
