A loan helped a member to buy buns, burger patties, meat and condiments to cook and sell different snack items.

Tagumpay Group's story

Ana Joy, 25 years old, lives with her common law partner and their two children in a small urban poor community. Her husband works as a taxi driver. In the last couple of years, with the increase in use of taxi booking applications run by big companies, Ana Joy's partner has seen a significant decrease in income. During this time, Ana Joy decided to open up a small store selling basic commodities and snack items to help her family earn.

Ana Joy earns more by cooking and selling snacks. She know that it is an opportune time to even gain more sales if she could cook and sell more varieties of snack items. Lacking capital, Ana Joy is just glad to be part of the women's group that SEED Center Philippines, Inc. helped organize in their community. With other women entrepreneurs, Ana Joy saw an opportunity to grow her business.

She is requesting a loan to buy buns, burger patties, meat and condiments to cook and sell different snack items. Part of the loan will also be shared with other women from her group who also have small businesses like Ana Joy.
