A loan helped to buy electrical goods for her husband's part-time electrical supply business.

Aneela's story

Aneela is a 39-year-old married woman living with her spouse and three daughters in the populated area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is pictured here with her husband. She is very worried about her husband's professional situation because his income is very low and hardly covers the household expenses.

In fact her husband is a turner by profession, but also works part-time supplying electrical goods; he purchases material from manufacturers and supplies it to the electrician's store.

Nowadays he supplies only a little material which does not prove very profitable. This is the reason he wants to increase the quantity of goods. For this, Aneela has requested a Kiva loan through Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for her husband's electrical goods distribution business, so he can easily buy more electrical goods and can earn money for his family.

She is very thankful to Kiva and its field partner BRAC Pakistan.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services in some of the poorest parts of Pakistan.
