This group is composed of 31 women who are united in solidarity to help each other. They all live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join a banc villageois in December 2009. They all work primarily in the livestock sector.
Madam Ndeye (pictured in the far right with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 29 years old and married with two daughters. She buys animals, fattens them up, and then sells them at a profit. She benefits for over five years of experience in this field.
With this loan, Madam Ndeye plans to purchase sheep as well as feed and livestock medicine for them. She plans to fatten them for five months and then resell them.
The revenue generated from these sales will increase her savings and maintain her family's current lifestyle.
