A loan helped a member to buy poultry feed.

Kabaga Kitezi Womens Group's story

This is Kabaga Kitezi group located on the outskirts of Kampala. It consists of members who engage in different economic activities with a common goal of poverty eradication.

Erinah, age 44, is married with two children who attend school. She grew up in a large family, which made education nearly impossible. The parents struggled to pay school fees for all their children; unfortunately, they dropped out of school after their ordinary level.

Erinah decided to venture into poultry keeping to sustain herself, a business she carried on until today. She majors in off-layers and broilers. With the income she gets from this business, she supports her husband with family expenses and the children's school fees.

Erinah has applied for a loan from UGAFODE to buy feed for her birds. She is confident that her birds will increase in size and also lay more eggs, thus bringing in more income. Erinah appreciates the lenders for the support that will boost her business as well as transform her economically.
