Gaba Landing Site Group's story

This is Gaba Landing Site Group, located in Wakiso. It consists of members who carry out different economic activities to develop themselves and also support their families.

Geofrey (extreme left), age 25, is a single man but has plans of starting his own family soon. He takes care of his younger siblings.

He owns a shop in the outskirts of Kampala, selling electronics, from which he earns income to fend for himself and also support his younger siblings. This has been his main source of income for three years.

Geofrey has applied for a loan from UGAFODE to add more stock to his shop because his working capital is insufficient. He is confident that his sales will increase, which will better his finances. Geofrey will then be able to provide for his siblings and also keep them in school.

He sends his sincere gratitude to Kiva and its partners for the financial support that will transform him economically. Geofrey has a dream of further expanding his business to the level of wholesale and also opening up new branches.

He is described as a go-getter by his colleagues.
