A loan helped to purchase more cartons of biscuits and general stock for resale.

Nennie's story

Meet Nennie. She is in her late 30s; she's from Aberdeen Western in Freetown. She is married with two children. In 2008, Nennie established her retail business. She began her business because she wants to take care of her family. She works at the business from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. She says that at present her business is running well.

Nennie needs a loan to purchase more cartons of biscuits and general stock for resale. Seemingly distinct businesses are often mixed in Sierra Leone, the idea being that a customer will come to purchase one thing but will leave having purchased another. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to improve her standard of living and increase her business.

In the future, Nennie plans to expand her business more than even. She thanks you for your support.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with access to funding in areas where there are limited alternative source of finance.
