This is Agweng Farmers and Marketing Group located in Lira. It consists of hardworking men who engage in different economic activities with a common objective of poverty eradication.
Denis is a husband and a father. He is a motorcyclist in Lira town, a business which has been his main source of income for years.
Through hard work, Denis managed to put up other side businesses of a butcher shop and a restaurant, which provide him with supplementary income. He started them on a small scale with the little savings that he had and they are growing with an increasing clientele, especially the butcher shop.
However, the only challenge is his limited working capital, which limits him from stocking enough meat to serve the growing demand.
He has therefore applied for a loan from UGAFODE to increase the number of kilograms he buys for selling. Denis is confident that his sales will increase, and so will his income.
He appreciates the funders for the financial support that will boost his business. His dream is to transform from buying in kilos to buying cows for slaughtering so that he realizes a larger profit.
