Alvaro Manuel's story

Don Alvaro Manuel is originally from the Cojxac district in the town of Totonicapan. He makes belts in different styles and colors. Alvaro says he learned this trade when he was 8 years old. At the age of 20, he started his own business selling his products in the open area of the Totonicapan municipal market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. He needs a loan in order to produce more merchandise. Recently he acquired a new vending location in Joyabaj Santa Cruz del Quiche.
