A loan helped to buy a newly manufactured sewing machine to open her own business.

Suzan's story

Greetings from Suzan! She is a 30-year-old, married Lebanese woman who's seeking a promising future and trying to improve her standard of living. She lives with her husband who is a soldier, and their 2 children who are still attending school, in an owned apartment located in the Chtoura area.

This woman is an employee in a sewing factory and it's been three years. She is professional in her job and has a great reputation among her colleagues and the factory clients.

In order to get an extra income, Suzan decided to open her own business from home, providing serving services during her free time. Currently, she is asking for a loan from Ibdaa, a Kiva partner. She requested this loan to purchase a newly manufactured sewing machine, for tailoring fabrics and knitting textile fibers.

This is an ambitious and active woman full of hope and energy. She is a hard worker. Suzan plans to develop her business in the future in order to improve her financial and social status and support her husband in the housing and kids expenses, especially as he is getting a very limited income.

Suzan is a loyal wife with good manners. She thanks for your support!

This loan is special because:

It doesn’t require a guarantor, reaching underserved women in Lebanon.
