Đình's story

Đình is 55 years old and is married with one child. She is an ethnic minority living in Cam Thuy district, a mountainous region of Thanh Hoa province, which is very far from the center. Đình speaks ethnic minority languages and rarely goes out of the village. Therefore, she has no opportunity to access financial services. For more than 10 years, Đình has worked as a farmer. Her family is a low-income household in their village, moreover the market need is low in this region. One of Đình's most critical difficulties is that her latrine is not hygienic, but she does not have enough income to build a new one.

Đình is requesting a loan to purchase sand, cement, brick, and equipment to build a sanitary toilet. This will be her first loan with Thanh Hoa microfinance institution. In the future, Đình hopes for her family to be healthy and happy and for her child to find a good job.
