A loan helped to buy more quantities of toiletries, rice, soda, chips, canned goods, charcoal and other grocery items.

Emily's story

Running a business is not easy, especially when one doesn't have enough capital. That is why Emily is very thankful for the financial assistance extended to her. She was able to buy grocery items that she displayed in her store and more customers were served. She also earned income that she used in sending her children to school and in paying their household bills.

To keep her business running, she would like to ask for financial assistance that will be used to buy more quantities of toiletries, rice, soda, chips, canned goods, charcoal and other grocery items. She hopes that her business will grow bigger and dreams of seeing all her children finish college.

Emily is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationships among partners, and pay microfinance loans.
