A loan helped a member to pay for cashew seeds to grow.


Sokin Group's story

Sokin, 40, is married and living with her husband in a village in Kampong Cham province in Cambodia. She and her husband are farmers and have been working together on their cashew farm to make a living. Sokin and her husband are able to makes around $10 USD per day.

Sokin now wants to grow more cashews, but is lacking capital. That’s why she led this group of four members asking for a loan with KREDIT. She would like to use her share of the loan to pay for cashew seeds to grow. She believes that this loan will allow her to increase her crop yield, as well as her profits, and will allow her to keep sending her child to school.

With the profits from this season’s harvest, she is going to enlarge her farm.
