A loan helped to buy mulch for her coffee plantation.

Swabrah's story

Swabrah is married with five school-going children. She is into agriculture, with coffee growing as her main source of income. Swabrah is a proud farmer, because apart from earning income, she is transforming lives in her community by providing jobs to a few workers who also get money to feed their families. On harvest, she dries the coffee and sells to coffee processing factories within Sembabule. With the money she gets, she supports her husband with the children's school fees.

In an effort to improve her farming, Swabrah has applied for a loan of 2,200,000 UGX from UGAFODE to buy organic fertilizers for her coffee plantation. She is hopeful that the quantity of her farm yields will improve, which will attract competitive prices and thus bring in more income.

Swabrah appreciates the lenders for their support that will improve her farming and also transform her life financially. Her dream is to own a coffee processing factory in the future.
