Rosinah's story

Rosinah is a 31-year-old married mother of two children living in Machakos, a small market town near Nairobi. She has run the Superstar Salon for the last six years and employs one person. She was previously a vegetable vendor and still earns some extra income through small-scale farming. She is requesting Kes. 30,000 to purchase Abuja braids, a hairdryer, hair relaxer, and shampoo. In the future, she hopes to open two more big salons and become a wholesale supplier of salon supplies. She describes herself as hardworking.
