Meas's story

Meas S., 57, lives in Takeo province with his wife. To earn a living, he works collecting palm juice to refine into palm sugar. With this business, he is able to make US$1.80 per day. His wife, Kim Net, 49, raises animals and makes US$1 every day. This couple have four children, two are in school and two are garment factories workers. Meas S. would like to take out a loan of US$700 to purchase a motorbike for one of her children to operate a moto-taxi service.
