Muong Phang 104 Group's story

Ret, 52, is a Thai ethic lady who has lived with her husband, her adult son, her daughter-in-law and her nephew in a remote area in Dien Bien province.

She has no higher education. After school, she became engaged in farming work. Every day, they work laboriously on their farm with various jobs such as growing rice, corn, arrowroot, raising chickens, buffalo and fish to ensure their well-being.

Also, to earn extra money for living, her son and her daughter-in-law work as employees for some villagers in rice fields in the harvest season.

Recently, she has taken a loan from Anh Chi Em program to buy baby fish to expand her fish farming. She hopes those baby fish will grow up healthily and fast to bring her great profit, which she looks forward to using to invest in raising pigs.

She wants her family will have a sufficient life and her nephew to have an opportunity to have a good education.
