A loan helped a member to buy palm oil, lemon juice, and myrrh.

Fatou's Group's story

The banc villageois to which this group of 7 women belongs was started in November 2015. They mainly sell diverse products. Mrs. Mansata, who is at the right in the photo raising her hand, is the group representative. She is a 62-year-old married mother of five, three of whom are girls. She has been progressing in this line of business for several years. With her new loan, she plans to buy 190 liters of palm oil, 10 liters of myrrh, and 10 sacks of lemon to make into juice, which she will resell for credit from home and at the market. The earnings will allow her to help her husband with the daily expenses and to take charge of the education and health of her children.
