A loan helped to purchase potato seeds for growing organic potatoes on her farm.


Rahat's story

Rahat is 44 years old, married and has two sons. Rahat has a secondary education. To provide the primary income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming since 1996. Thanks to Rahat's hard work and her husband's help, today her farms consists of 4 cows and 10 sheep, and 2.5 hectares of land, where she grows potatoes and wheat. To continue growing her business and being a regular bank customer, Rahat requested a loan from the Bai Tushum Bank in the amount of 60,000 som (KGS) to buy potato seeds for growing organic potatoes. Rahat plans to use the earnings from the loan to buy dairy cows and make major repairs at home.
