A loan helped a member to add more groceries to her store.

Veth Group's story

Veth, 38, is a married mother with three school-aged children. She and her family reside in a village in the Takeo Province of Cambodia. Her family income is supported by her husband, who is a village chef and typically makes only $3 US a day.

She wants to help her husband support their family's needs ─ even if only in a simple way ─ especially so their children can attend school.

For these reasons, Veth represents this group of five members. She would like to use her share of the loan to expand her business in their town. She will add more groceries to her store, where she will sell a variety of ingredients to cook, drink and more.

She believes that in this way, she will be able to help her husband fund their needs.
