Nita's story

It was 1992 when I was thirty-nine years old when I quit my twenty plus years of - alcohol, cocaine, and marijuana. The journey to sobriety was not easy, to say the least. Having reached the state of clarity I didn't know what direction to take, I had been working in the flooring industry but I needed something else- something to enrich my soul. With the confusion in my mind, I turned to God and I prayed a prayer. I asked God to show me my next step, my direction. I asked him to give me the strength to get up and take charge of my life. It was after that I gifted my homemade cookies full of love, raisins, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and oatmeal - that gift was followed by God's gift to me. People started ordering cookies from me and soon I was meeting the owner of Zanotto's .
He kept my cookies in his marketplace, and today my products are sold in three different markets, I sell online through my website, I got my AA from University of Phoneix at the age of 63 and I am working on my BA. I started with $200 and today I am a one person managing my business, my products are in different markets and I am a brand! I am very very very grateful for my life today. I believe that my things are so good because I pray when I make them and I listen to gospel music as I bake!
