A loan helped to restock her pharmacy.

Doreck's story

Doreck is a 38-year-old divorced woman. She has two dependents, young children who need a lot of care, because they are orphans who lost their parents some years back.

Doreck is a resident of Bufunda, Ibanda Town. She runs a pharmacy where she sells human drugs, and she says that her clients are people in Ibanda Town. She also earns a salary working as a dental attendant at a local health centre in Ibanda District.

Doreck has applied for a loan of UGX 1,000,000 so that she can buy more drugs and expand her business, and meet the needs of her customers.

She says she wishes to expand her business so that she can be able to own one of the largest pharmacies in the area.

However, competition and inadequate capital have affected her business. But she is grateful for the support she gets from UGAFODE and Kiva funders.

Long live UGAFODE and Kiva.
