Cecelia's story

Cecelia is 40 years old, married, and has six children ranging in age from 12 to 25 years. Three of her children are in school, and all live at home.

Cecelia went to school until 6th grade, and due to insufficient income earned by her husband, a carpenter, she has run a business selling fish and meat for the past 20 years, She started it with a little money from her husband, and learned how to sell from her mother.

Cecelia uses a car to transport supplies to her business site, selling six days a week and 10 hours per day. She desires to empower her life and, in order to expand her enterprise, has applied for a loan of 27,000 Liberian Dollars to buy more fish and meat to sell.

Cecilia is proud of her business because it provides tuition for her children and daily meals for her family. She would like to build houses in the future.
