Louisette's story

Louisette is 35 and lives in a semi-rural village with her husband and their four children. She was not lucky enough to live a life of bliss as a child. Currently, she strives to work hard to ensure her children’s well-being. To do so, she has an enterprise growing potatoes. For over twenty years, she has been in this business and finds it profitable, having expanded her arable land to earn more profit.

She joined VAHATRA to take out loans. With the profits from the previous loan, she acquired a plot of land. This third loan will help her to pay for 300 kg of good-quality seeds, as well as chemical fertilizers and some manure. Her harvests are sold by her in front of their home. She wants to save some money for realizing big plans in the future and to attain financial autonomy.

Louisette a 35 ans. Elle habite un village semi-rural avec son conjoint et leurs quatre enfants. Elle n’a pas eu la chance de vivre une vie en rose pendant son enfance et actuellement, elle s’efforce de travailler dur pour assurer le bien-être de ses enfants. Pour cela, elle entreprend la culture de pommes de terre. Elle effectue cela depuis plus de vingt années, elle trouve que c’est rentable. Elle a élargi la surface à cultiver afin de gagner davantage de profits et elle a rejoint VAHATRA pour contracter des prêts. Elle a acquis un autre terrain productif avec les bénéfices du prêt précédent. Ce 3ème prêt va l’aider à acheter 300 Kg de semences de bonne qualité ainsi que des engrais chimique et du fumier. Elle vend ses récoltes elle-même devant leur domicile. Elle veut avoir des économies pour réaliser des grands projets d’avenir et veut atteindre une autonomie financière.
