Celeste's story

I am the owner operator of Big Lulu’s Trucking, LLC. I founded the business in May of 2015 and have extensive experience as both commercial vehicle driver and an owner/manager of a small business. Since 2004, I have been a bus driver for the Port Authority of Allegheny County. I am licensed to operate tri-axle trucks and buses, and hold a Class B license from the State of Pennsylvania. Working as a Port Authority bus driver has taught me many interpersonal skills, such as customer relations, dealing with difficult people, multi-tasking and decision making while honing my skills in vehicle operations.

I grew up on the east side of Pittsburgh. As a small child, I always had dreams of entrepreneurship growing up. When I was about six years old, I started my first business which was a cardboard box lemonade stand on a dead end street. Growing up on the east end of Pittsburgh was interesting. There were a lot of small owned minority businesses. Today a lot of those small minority owned business are gone, but there are some that still exist. Pittsburgh is in the process of changing for the better. I strongly believe that now is an excellent time for small family businesses to succeed.

I am just at the brink of building my tri-axle empire. My dream is for Big Lulu"s Trucking LLC to become a national name in the construction field.
