A loan helped to buy rolls of cords to continue making hammocks, and with the earnings her children will be able to keep studying.

Estela's story

Estela studied up to the second grade of primary school. Her life partner works in agriculture, and she has four children, of whom only two go to school.

Estela dedicates herself to making hammocks, and she has 15 years of experience with this artisanal work. She learned the business from her parents. In addition to this, she sells tortillas, and she does both kinds of work at her house.

Estela's economic resources are scarce, and thus she needs a lot of support from a loan in order to buy rolls of cords to continue to make hammocks. With the earnings, her children will be able to continue studying.

Estela dreams that her children will become professionals, and she would also like to buy two cows in order to produce dairy products.
