A loan helped a member to buy traditional clothing.

Las Cruces 01 Group's story

Delfina (shown first on right hand side of the picture) is a 60 year old woman. She is happily married and lives with her husband in the town of Santo Domingo en Suchitepéquez. She has made a living for several years buying and selling traditional clothing. She has to keep her business well stocked because of high demand and it is for that reason that she has applied for a loan that she will use to buy "güipiles" (traditional Guatemalan blouse), woven sashes and traditional skirts which will allow her to increase her sales and as a result her earnings. Her great desire is to strengthen her business.
