A loan helped a member to purchase 400 kg of millet and 200 kg of beans.

Diarra's Group's story

This group of six members is part of the 'banc villageois' that was created in February 2014. It is composed of women with a lot of solidarity who are active in small-scale commerce and livestock farming. DIARRA, standing at the right in the photo with a hand raised, is the featured borrower. She is 59 years old, married, and the mother of four children, including three girls.

With her new loan, she intends to purchase 400 kg of millet and 200 kg of beans that will be resold in her village. With the profits, she is planning to save money in the 'banc villageois' and helping out her husband to cover day-to-day expenses.

In this group: Diarra, Saye, Sokhna, Diouma, Saye, Mareme
